On 13 December, the Government of Flanders approved grants for four projects in Mozambique with a total value of 5.3 million Euro. These projects were selected from the April 2019 call for project proposals dealing with sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), specifically aimed at adolescents in the provinces of Tete and Maputo.
The projects operate close to the target group and have a duration of 3 to 4 years. When selecting the projects, great importance was attached to applying the "Leave no one behind" principle, whereby a specific focus on young people with a disability was adhered.

Mozambique is one of the three partner countries of the Flemish development cooperation. There is intensive cooperation with the Ministry of Health to improve the health system.
