On Monday 15 March, the official inauguration of two mobile clinics, donated by the Government of Flanders, took place in the suburb of Matola in Maputo Province, Mozambique. These clinics have been purpose designed for young people, and were donated within the framework of the INGUISSA (Hear!) project of Fundação Ariel.

Mobile clinics make it possible to reach young people in the areas where they live and go to school. The aim is to improve their access to sexual and reproductive health (and other) services, especially by vulnerable young people. The clinics are designed to accommodate two patients at a time, and equipped to screen informative videos. They furthermore provide prevention and information services to passers-by and young people within the densely populated peri-urban neighbourhoods of Maputo.

Her Excellency Vitoria Dias Diogo, Secretary of State, did the honours by cutting the ribbon at the official ceremony, which was also attended by the Deputy General Representative of the Government of Flanders, Kaat Matthys, and the team of Fundaçao Ariel.
