On the occasion of Flanders Day, we have compiled five videos showcasing original and inspiring cooperation projects between Flanders and South Africa.

Day 4: In March 2019, Flemish writer Els Moors was invited to South Africa, in her then capacity as Poet Laureate of Belgium, to participate in the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees (KKNK) and engage with South African writers, poets, artists and students. Els’ visit was supported by @Sasnev and @flandersliterature.

In her poem Hoe heter hoe beter Moors addresses the issue of climate change. An inspiring encounter with Frazer Barry led to an Afrikaans version of the poem, put to music by the rymkletser from Kleinmond.
